Printing with watermark?

Dec 7, 2011 at 6:05 PM

Hi Koen,

I'm working on a prototype and a requirement is that documents have a watermark when they are both displayed and printed.

I've got a watermark displaying successfully, but this is not printed using the default DocumentPrinter control.

Can you give me any guidance on how I can implement a printable watermark?

Many thanks,

Hi Phil,

Did you use a custom FixedPageViewer style to define the watermark? (see also the Watermark sample). If so, you can assign this custom style to the DocumentPrinter.FixedPageViewerStyle property and it will be used when printing.

Hi Koen,

I've followed the code from the watermark sample very closely (and this works).  Are you saying that I need to port the watermark-specific stuff from the control template to a style?

Apologies if this is obvious - I'm just starting out with xaml...

Never mind - I did a bit of research and created a style as you suggested.  Now printing with the watermark perfectly.

Many thanks!
